Celebrities have dined at Geneva Atwater’s Restaurant in the past, but maybe not at the same time, as was the case Tuesday night. Zac Efron, Dennis Quaid, Heather Graham, Kim Dickens and 11 others ate and celebrated at the restaurant after completing filming of a still-untitled movie in DeKalb, said Jennifer Piazza, marketing director for the Herrington Inn and Spa where Atwater’s is located.

Piazza said the film’s director, Ramin Bahrani, made reservations at Atwater’s, and the stars began trickling in. By 8 p.m., everyone had arrived. “I don’t think we had a film wrap party before,” Piazza said. Apparently, one of the film’s crew members used to work at the Herrington and recommended it to the cast.
“It was such a great surprise,” Piazza said. She said celebrities such as Bill Cosby and other media figures have dined at Atwater’s in the past because it’s located along the Fox River and is relatively secluded. “Our staff goes out of their way to protect their privacy,” Piazza said.
She said the wrap party lasted a few hours and the group dined on the restaurant’s seasonal butternut squash soup, Alaskan halibut and crab-cod fillet mignon. Piazza said everyone all seemed to enjoy the evening and Efron even called the next day to purchase a gift certificate.
