Zac Efron act on his new flick: Count us among the many fans of Hollywood's heartthrobs tackling angsty, Nicholas Sparks-penned romantic dramas. Especially after seeing a beefed-up Zac Efron on the set of Sparks' latest tearjerker, "The Lucky One." Where do we buy our tickets? Two new photos emerged of the "Charlie St. Cloud" star on the set of the flick about an American marine who credits his survival in the Iraq War to a photograph of a woman he's never met. Back in North Carolina, after three tours abroad, he sets out to meet her.
In the photos, Zac seems to have packed on some more muscle to play the marine, and in one, appears to be crying while standing over a truck. We even catch a glimpse of his tribal tattoo that he's been sporting for the role. The film is being directed by Scott Hicks of "No Reservations" fame and is written by "Remember Me" scribes Doug McGrath and Will Fetters.
Zac joins a long list of hotties who have made us cry in Sparks films, including Channing Tatum, Richard Gere, Liam Hemsworth, Kevin Costner and, of course, Ryan Gosling.
