Zac Efron To Start Conmen Role In her New Movie: Hollywood heartthrob Zac Efron has been roped in to star as a conman in the new heist movie Art Of The Steal. The actor will be seen playing the role of a criminal who executes a series of elaborate heists while leading another life as an upstanding citizen. According to variety.com, the 22-year-old High School Musical star will also produce the drama under his Ninjas Runnin' Wild production company.

With such an enormous project in the works, it’s a good thing that Efron and his girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens found time to relax in Hawaii this past week to blow off some steam. Speaking of blowing off steam, whom does the ‘Charlie St. Cloud’ star turn to for advice when things get to stressful or he gets a script to consider or even if he just wants to shoot the breeze? Zac Efron Perform His New Film With Taylor Schilling: Taylor Schilling has literally become the lucky one. She has grabbed a female lead role as well as a chance to star opposite Zac Efron in "The Lucky One", reports say. To nab the highly sought role, she has beaten out other Hollywood stars such as Abbie Cornish and Katie Cassidy who were also in the running.

The film, based on Nicholas Sparks' novel of the same title, follows Efron's character of a soldier who has survived three tours of duty in Iraq and attributes his good luck to a photograph he carried of a woman, portrayed by Schilling, whom he doesn't even know. When he returns to the States, he will seek out the girl and later they develop a relationship.

Zac Efron And Justin Timberlake In Action Movie: Zac Efron is reportedly set to go head-to-head with Justin Timberlake over a coveted new film role. Both stars are said to want the lead in the movie adaptation of hit Broadway musical "Memphis."

Sources close to Timberlake told the New York Post in May the Memphis, Tennessee native was interested in playing DJ Huey Calhoun in the film version of Bon Jovi star David Bryan's musical, and now BroadwayWorld.com has revealed Efron has seen the show twice in recent months and is also interested. Meanwhile, insiders claim Oliver Stone has met with Bryan and his working partner Joe DiPietro with a view to directing the proposed film. A representative for Stone has confirmed the meetings took place.

Zac Efron In Australia For His Movie Premiere:Zac Efron is coming to Australia in September to promote his new movie Charlie St Cloud. Mr. Efron will be walking the red carpet in Sydney on September 19 prior to the movie opening nationally on September 23, reported ABC News. In Charlie St Cloud, Mr. Efron plays a young man called Charlie, overcome with grief at the death of his younger brother in an accident.

The 22-year-old star of the High School Musical trilogy has been busy working in several more mature roles recently, including Me and Orson Welles. During his promotional trip down under, Mr. Efron will make other appearances to be announced at a later date, according to Bigpond News.

Once again situated north of the border, Zac Efron was hard at work on the set of "Charlie St. Cloud" in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Currently in the midst of doing re-shoots, the "17 Again" stud was joined by his lovely co-star Amanda Crew - whom he impressively swooped up and carried around the set as the cameras caught all of the action.

Due out in theaters on October 15, 2010, "Charlie St Cloud" is directed by Burr Steers while also co-starring Kim Basinger and Chris Massoglia. Troy Bolton who?!? ollowing last year's successful transition away from the High School Musical franchise (with 17 Again), Zac Efron takes another step forward in his adult movie career this summer. The young heatthrob stars as the title character in Charlie St. Cloud, a drama based on a popular 2004 novel. In the film, the 22-year-old boyfriend of Vanessa Hudgens portrays a young man who gains special powers after surviving a serious accident: he can communicate with his late brother.

Amanda Crew, Kim Basinger and Ray Liotta also star in the movie, which hits theaters on July 30.This role may be quite the departure from High School Musical, but don't worry: Efron brings the same hotness as always to the screen.
